Kriss Style Assault Rifle by ModalMechanica Kriss Style Assault Rifle by ModalMechanica
Just found out KWA is making a Kriss super V, and I just found out TDI is working on a handgun, and it all really inspired me. So I decided to rework the Kriss concept onto a bulpup rifle platform, and I'm pretty pleased with the result. :'D

Chambered in 7.62x51 Nato, yet shoots with less muzzle rise than that of an AR-15.

If you've read the comments you'd know we've been over this already. I'm not designing a real weapon here. Thanks for the unneeded input.

It's very well drawn and i like the concept but a part of the KrissV is that the barrel axes is lower than a normal weapon. I don't want to criticize i think you did a good job, it's just an observation.

ffff your behind the bandwagon on this one, I've gotten enough comments on how its not a practical design xD

Love it, especially since the company said they were working on one but neglected to show any concepts, very well done

In my opinion guns have been getting stranger and stranger-looking since 1991, but in a good way. Like the TDI Vector looks like a freakin' staple gun, but that's awesome since it also makes it look like a weapon from Quake.

I like how you made the Super V, but made it bullpup. I also like the SCAR-style ridges on the top of the weapon.

I really need to come up with just a normal assault rifle, which is used by the standard enemy soldiers in my scenario...just a normal, boring, assault rifle. Cased ammunition, no electronic firing, probably not even bullpup, maybe not even the futuristic suppressor or tracers (though in my universe everyone must use tracers, so I may keep that part.) The only thing setting this gun apart from present-day guns is that it's mostly made from composite materials. Yes, this gun is as mass-produced as mass-produced can be.

I used to draw it to look like an FN SCAR crossed with an XM8, then kinda forgot how to draw it unfortunately. To be honest I've never really drawn it that much, it doesn't even have a name (I've called it different things over the course of coming up with it,) but I keep coming up with more interesting guns to draw, lol.

Its cheap construction and sheer basicness are a testament to the fact that people who carry these guns are generally cannon fodder. They are the weak soldiers, armed with conventional weaponry, and roughly comparable in strength to the Grunts from Halo (though they're humans, not aliens.) It's the elite soldiers who wield IX4s, as they're sort of like Arsenal Tengu from MGS2 in that they come later, and are stronger and much better equipped. These aren't just the Nibiru Army, as the IX4 has been mass-produced and sold to many different factions, armies and PMCs (private military contractors.)

I see. Well idk weapons do make a marginal difference, but they dont need to be advanced to be effective. In fact, they really only need to be outright bad to really hinder any forces. What it really comes down to is training. Its the same reason that the entire US military basically uses of shoots of the AR-15 platform.

Yeah the AR-15/M-16/M4 family of rifles has proven to be quite reliable, or so I've heard.

And I just found what I used to call my "normal" gun...I think it was something like the "EA2300" or "EA2000" and it sorta looked like the MA5 from Halo, only it wasn't bullpup. I just drew it again tonight, several designs of it, though I'm too tired to upload it, and the quality sucks either way ^^;

I really like the Design of that one except one drawback. As far as I understand the Kriss System the funny box thing that contains the mechanical recoil dampening system has to be in Front of the Gun in Order to keep it from raising. If itīs at the rear i thing it would do the direct opposite.

Good combo!

not only more accurate/compact bc of the bullpup design, but more stable for automatic fire. and combined with the kriss's downward bolt doojigger, this thing should be very user friendly. and monolithic rails. mmmmmmmmm.

lov it

Nice work
They say they probably going to use this mechanism on large cal like 50 or something...

The kriss's recoil redirection system would actually increase recoil and muzzle rise if you put it behind the grip. There is a reason why the kriss isn't a bullpup design.
