Steel Battalion is fun, but unnecessarily complicated. Your guns and view are not linked, which is done to allow you to look around while strafing around a target, but mostly it just serves to make it really annoying to shoot things you can't get a lock-on on. Your VT also has a Manual Transmission, for some reason, and lacks stabilizers to allow it to turn while running without falling over. Early model VTs also fill your screen with more screens, gauges, dials, and readouts than you can actually see out the front, unless you have a gigantic TV you'll barely be able to see anything.
haha i played a demo once at some sort of event, i was the only person who was able to get it walking, but that was as far as i got haha. But yeah it seemed over complicated, but mainly, the designs were just awesome. So its all good haha
The mechs, however, ARE pretty sweet.
