Mecha - Shinshutsu

For use in urban combat operations, the 0Y1-N Shinshutsu is designed small and agile. Wheeled feet, and reinforced legs let it maneuver with ease in the hostile and constantly changing environment of an urban combat zone, and its extendable arms make it ideal for close up, hand to hand combat. Aside from melee weapons, the Shinshutsu can equip a variety of mid sized armaments, and has adequate output for small scale energy weapons as well. The unit's combination of reactive and layered composite armours lets it safely withstand small arms fire, a degree of direct energy fire, and limited abuse from heavier weapons like RPGs and anti material rifles. Because of its small size, multiple Shinshutsu can be deployed at a time by air, making them ideal for offensive ops. While very effective on hard ground, the unit does not fair well in mud or water, and with its urban specialization, its operational variability is rather limited compared to other units.
